Ephesians 3:20-21
11:12 AM
Ever since I was a little girl I have been obsessed with books. I'm not your average "I like to read" books teacher. I am TOTALLY obsessed with children's literature. I love going to Books-A-Million and staring at the new award winning books for the year. I buy them all! The Newbery, The Caldecott, The Coretta Scott King and the NC Picture book. I can't wait for them to be released! I even buy these for my nieces and nephews for Christmas.
When I was younger, my sister Jenny would read the same picture books over and over to me until I had them memorized word for word. It is this love of children's literature that kept me dreaming of being a children's author one day. One year, my husband even bought me How To Write Children's Books for Dummies. Ha!
I can't count the nights I dreamed of having my own picture book, presenting at reading conferences and doing school presentations. One day, I hope teachers everywhere are doing a Stephie McCumbee author study in their classrooms. That would be so awesome!
In saying all of this, it is with total excitement, that I FINALLY share the news...... it is happening! I am officially a children's book author. I will share more details in the months to come, but for now I am very thankful, gracious and humble to be a part of something so wonderful! As one of my favorite bible verses says:

God can do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine. To him be the glory!
