Dem Bones Halloween Activity Giveaway
9:01 AM
Hey friends! Halloween is just around the corner and I am so excited! I LOVE Fall weather. I love the colors, the candy apples, candy corn, and corn mazes. Every year my husband and I go to a local corn field maze with several of our friends. If you have not been, I highly suggest you go. Normally we break off into teams and race to see who can complete the maze first. Sadly my team has lost every year.
Another reason I love Fall is because ...OYSTER SEASON! Since I live on the coast the date of oyster season is ingrained in my head. I love oysters! This year we have so many wonderful Fall activities planned and I can't wait.
Last year my teamie and I would get all jazzed up for Halloween. I loved it! The kids would come in and they would be so excited to see all the new decorations. This year has been a little transition for me since I am teaching 4th grade. I really want to make Halloween exciting, but I don't want it to be too babyish either. I have bought several decorations that I am going to put up tomorrow. I miss my teamies so much- they have became great life long friends! In fact, Monica and I are going to present at the NC Reading Conference in March. Hopefully some of our fellow bloggers will be able to attend.
Since I love fall so much I decided to put together a new Halloween unit using Dem Bones on TPT. When I was little I love Dem Bones. They are so tasty! This unit is 18 pages and has many common core activities. This unit is geared more toward 1st-3rd grade. Every Halloween I look for some theme that I can use for the entire day. I want the theme to include: math, reading, writing and science activities. This is why I decided to create this unit. I hope you will take a look at it. I am going to give this unit away tomorrow night to two lucky bloggers. All you have to do to be entered to win is become a follower of my TPT store and leave a comment saying so. I will post the winners tomorrow night.
P.S One of my fellow blogging buddies/ friends just announced she is having a baby! I am so excited for her! Yay Sarah!
