4th Grade Here I Come!
11:53 AM
Spoiled in Second Grade will soon have some new changes coming since next year I will be teaching AIG math and reading for fourth grade and nurturing third grade AIG students. I am very excited about moving to something new in my career but I am really going to miss second grade and my teamies. It is very hard to leave your teammates when you feel like they are your family. This summer my husband and I are moving back to the beach and we are so excited to start the next chapter in our lives.
The school that I will be working at is the same elementary school that both my husband and I went to as children so I already feel at home. I met some of the other 4th grade teachers this week at a math training and I think we are going to work well together.
I would love to hear from other teachers who have taught either 4th or 5th grade reading, math or AIG. I have thought about using William and Mary this year as my reading program and would love to hear what others of you think about their stuff. As far as math is concerned, I would like to still use Marcy Cook and a workshop format but I guess I will have to see about that as the start of the year gets closer.
