National Boards
3:36 PM
Well in two weeks I mail my National Boards portfolio. This has been a very LONG process. I sat down and started writing my first entry in July and even still to this day I am editing. I started blogging about this process hoping that it would clarify some things for those who have contemplation starting the process. After everything I have done, I have tried to summarize my thoughts about this project.
Thanks to everyone who had helped me especially Katie, Debra, Melissa, Emily, Chad and Shannon I know it is an extremely time consuming process to edit each entry. Never mind editing each entry 10 times :) Katie your're a rockstar!
My advice:
Start early and DO NOT procrastinate.
Prepare to spend at least 300 hours planning, writing and editing.
Don't worry if your not the best writer... find good editors :)
Read all papers and directions before starting
For each entry type up each question and then answer it underneath. Do not remove questions until the very end.
Include standard key words
Join the Iris room
Have someone who is not in education read your entries
