Googlelittrips Freebie

Yikes! One more week until it is back to work for me. I have been trying to take it easy but unfortunately that has not happened since I can't stop trying to prepare for the upcoming year. I have written several posts about my unit on NC and today I made a storyboard to go along with that unit.

This storyboard ties in with the post I have written about Google Lit Trips. At the beginning of this unit I will read Carole Marsh's Blackbeard mystery to the class. I have already completed a lit trip for this book so the students will get to see me interact with the trip while I read aloud the book to them. I have purposely left off several locations along the way so that I can stop and model how to make bookmarks on the map. After reading this book aloud to the class students will work with a partner to select their own Carole Marsh mystery book based on NC to read. While they are reading they will use the storyboard sheet below to record any places in NC the characters travel to. They will record what page they found the new point on, what graphics they can add to the map and what they will record themselves saying on their Google Lit Trip.
